Clinical Diagnostic Evaluations
DUI/DWI Out of State Evaluations

A number of states require clinical evaluations for DUI/DWI Offenders. Our
Out-Of-State clinical evaluations are conducted by Nationally Certified
Addictions Counselor and are valid and recognized throughout the United
States.

We specialize in working with the requirements, credentials, programming and
specific documentation required from a number of States, among them: North
Carolina, South Carolina, Florida, Alabama, Tennessee, Texas, California, New
York, Utah, Maryland and Illinois.
Substance Related Disorder Evaluations

These are evaluations conducted for NON-DUI cases. Individuals requesting a
Substance Related Clinical Evaluation may be voluntarily seeking help or may
be someone referred for an evaluation for other type of offenses. Common
cases are individuals referred by the criminal defense attorneys for charges like
Public Intoxication, Criminal Trespass, Disorderly Conduct, Prostitution,
Reckless Driving, Possession of Controlled Substances or DFCS referrals in
cases where parents need to be evaluated to determine if there is a
substance abuse or dependence problem that may be interfering with
adequate parenting of their children.
DUI Offender Clinical Evaluations

These are evaluations regulated by the State of Georgia DUI Intervention
Program. These evaluations must be conducted, per Georgia Law, on all post
adjudication DUI offenders (first and multiple DUI offenders) in order to have a
Georgia driver's license reinstated. A good evaluator should provide you with
sound advice about how to get your driver's license reinstated. If you have
been arrested for DUI and want to get your evaluation before you go to Court,
make sure you let your Clinical Evaluator know that you want to follow the DUI
Offender process for license reinstatement purposes.
Domestic Violence Evaluations

Georgia Law prohibits conducting Domestic Violence Evaluations on convicted
misdemeanor offenders under the Family Violence Act.

Our evaluations are conducted on cases referred by the Department of Family
and Children Services (DFCS), when there are no criminal charges for
domestic violence against the parent involved, divorce attorneys, criminal
defense attorneys for cases prior to adjudication and cases that do not fall
under the Family Violence Act such as cases where charges were reduced to
Disorderly Conduct.
Anger Management Evaluations

These evaluations are conducted on cases which are specifically referred by
criminal defense attorneys or the municipal and state courts for offenses
related to lack of impulse control.

Violent offenses involving two non-related individuals would benefit from
assessing the level of violence and impulsivity in addition to issues such as
substance abuse or dependence which may be influencing the individual's
behavior.
Mental Health / Psychosocial Clinical Evaluations

These evaluations are general diagnostic evaluations for a number of
behavioral health problems which may or may not be related to a legal
problem.

Individuals requesting a Mental Health or Psychosocial Evaluation may
present with problems related to inappropriate discipline with children that
may have led to parenting related issues. Others may present numerous
behavioral health problems such as sexual deviations and/or issues related
to childhood trauma.
The purpose of a Clinical Diagnostic Evaluation is to determine whether or
not an individual is presenting symptoms of an addictive disease and/or a co–
occurring psychiatric disorder. Our Clinical Evaluations asses every aspect of
an individual’s functioning from substance use and/or abuse to medical, mental
health, family, work, education, and legal history. At the conclusion of the
evaluation, an accurate diagnosis and appropriate treatment options, when
indicated, are reviewed and discussed with the individual.

The evaluation takes place on an outpatient basis and includes a
comprehensive written report. For each type of clinical evaluation we
administer a number of psychometric tests and review collateral
documentation such as court documents, hospital, medical and treatment
records and prior psychological and psychiatric evaluations. If you or someone
you might know would benefit from a Clinical Diagnostic Evaluation, please
