The Road to Recovery is a behavioral health and substance abuse services
practice with six clinics located in Atlanta, Gainesville, Smyrna, Lawrenceville,
Forest Park and Sandy Springs. Outpatient substance abuse treatment and
psychological counseling services are provided in English and Spanish by
licensed and certified, bilingual and bi cultural counselors with professionalism,
warmth, empathy, care, and respect.

Health Insurance Portability and
Accountability Act
As part of the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Actof 1996, the
federal government has established a set of rules for covered entities under
HIPAA. These rules cover privacy and confidentiality of health care information
and security procedures for confidential health information. While the
government continues to revise HIPAA requirements, employees must complete
HIPAA training on privacy and confidentiality regulations by April 13, 2003.
The Road to Recovery, Inc. is HIPAA compliant.
Accreditations
Funding
The Road to Recovery is a private-for-profit professional counseling agency.  As
such, it does not receive any type of local, state, or federal government grants
or funding from any public or private source. Nonetheless, the Road to Recovery
does not deny services for inability to pay.

Reduced fees and payment plans are provided for individuals who qualify for
these benefits. Financial hardship cases are handled on a case-by-case basis.
Likewise, partial scholarships and reduced fees are considered when requested
directly by a sentencing judge for a special case or unusual circumstances.

In some instances, the Road to Recovery refers cases of individuals who are
experiencing long-term financial difficulties to non-profit 501 (c) (3) agencies,
organizations recipients of subsidies, private and public funding to provide short
term and long-term care and mental health services at no cost or low cost to
indigent individuals and families.
